Introduction
In connection with the 50th-anniversarry celebrations of the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain, a conference was held in November 2006 at the Yale Center for British Art in New Haven, jointly organized by the Center, the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art in London, and the British Society of Architectural Historians. One panel was devoted to ‘Questions of Landscape’, and revised versions of the three presentations, along with the chairman's final commentary, are printed here.
