A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
If buildings were restricted as to their total installed power and permitted energy consumption, what would be the practical implications? Seeking a preliminary answer to this question, the Danish National Building Research Institute (SBI) has made a detailed study of energy consumption in six different buildings. Tentative conclusions are that reasonably accurate budget forecasts of consumption are possible, but the financial incentives to make savings are still not great.
