Methodology for the Development of Analytical Seismic Fragility for Full Connection Steel-Framed Gypsum Partition Walls
Comprehending the behavior of gypsum partition walls, as well as their associated fragility curves, is an integral part of performing seismic risk assessment of buildings. Knowing this significant contribution, several experimental and verified analytical simulations are developed during the past two decades for partition walls. However, their fragility curves are limited to certain geometries due to the high experimental expenditures and absence of a robust methodology for obtaining these seismic fragility curves from numerical results. Throughout this study, a practical methodology is presented for the derivation of analytical-based seismic fragility curves and validated against values presented in FEMA P-58.
