INTEGRATION OF SOME CONSTITUTIVE RELATIONS OF PLANE STRAIN ELASTOPLASTICITY USING MODIFIED RUNGE-KUTTA METHODS
In this paper we solve via high order Runge-Kutta methods and a new embedded modified Runge-Kutta method with minimal phase-lag a set of coupled ordinary differential equations in which the constitutive relations of Tresca and Mohr-Coulomb materials in plane strain elastoplasticity has been transformed. Conclusions on efficiency of the used methods have been made, based on extensive numerical tests.
