Supply models for intercity passenger transport: a review
This paper presents a review of supply models in the field of intercity passenger transport, together with an attempt to characterize these models with regard to normative and predictive approaches, and in relation to the full hierarchy of strategic, tactical and operational decision‐making situations. Part of the paper deals with computerized decision support systems. Major research directions are presented and the main opportunities for further research are identified.
