A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
An important event in Scandinavia is the regular Nordic Building Conference, the most recent one having been held in Copenhagen last year. Two abridged papers from that conference are presented here. The fact that they both relate to Sweden is coincidental; they are chosen because they discuss aspects of construction which are continually debated in developed societies, namely the role of building as an economic stimulus and the scope for building exports.
