A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Artificial intelligence in building is becoming of greater interest to researchers and practitioners. Patrice Poyet of the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Batiment, CSTB, at Sophia Antipolis presents their most recent work. Dr Poyet gives an overview of the various systems developed and illustrates the discussion with four main software architectures. Descriptions are given of the automated assistant used to handle definite problems, data-integrators to handle a huge primary corpus of knowledge, intelligent modules and software for integrated access to services.
