Probabilistic ageing model for infrastructure buildings
The maintenance of structural equipment along the Austrian road network is supported by database system BAUT, holding information on various types of structures such as bridges, tunnels, noise barriers, retaining walls. With the help of this database system the maintainer should retrieve a comprehensive overview of general and technical parameters for decision making. This paper presents a practical approach for the prediction of degradation and necessary investments for infrastructure buildings. On the basis of simple technical parameters and inspection results collected during the past eight years, valuable results can be presented.
