High Rise Buildings: Present and Future
The paper outlines some difficulties in communication between architects and engineers designing high rise buildings. The return of the bearing wall is noted. Many new building types are classified by a morphlogical table. Suspenarch, a means of reaching new heights in multi storey buildings is examined.Some future developments in structural materials are briefly discussed.
