Casa Termicamente Optimizada
Traditional Portuguese building forms were adapted to create this relatively massive two-storey house in Northern Portugal, which incorporates direct solar gain, Trombe wall and water-wall systems. Two-year results from both free-floating and thermostatic control modes are here discussed; one conclusion was that existing simulation methods under-predict the performance of massive structures.
