Mesures expérimentales sur un ouvrage maritime
This paper describes a research programme dealing with pressures generated by the water waves on a Jarlan-type breakwater caisson located at Dieppe. Breakwater dimensions, pressure cells characteristics and the acquisition system are detailed. The wave recorder situated in the vicinity of the breakwater is also presented. An initial report is done showing original results regarding the distribution and the intensity of the pressures acting underneath the caisson. The vertical walls pressures are also compared to those recorded during a physical modelling of the breakwater.
