Centrifuge tests on square footings executed in the context of the European action COST C7, which theme is precisely the soil-structure interaction in urban civil engineering, are presented. These tests a one-meter square footing, 40 cm thick, laid on very dense dry sand et submitted to complex cyclic loadings. The aim of these tests is to evaluate the behaviour of a footing under loading resulting from self-load of the structure and the wind action. The loading is then decomposed in a vertical centred load and a cyclic moment load. The parameters used to define the footings behaviour are the settlement and the rotation of the footing, function of the number of moment cycles applied, and secant stiffness and damping function of the settlement. The measured parameters are the confronted to the classic elastic solutions.
