Development of linear programming for capital budgeting of construction projects
The UK construction industry suffers the largest number of bankruptcies of any sector of the economy, with many companies failing because of poor financial management, especially inadequate attention to poor cash flow forecasting. The financial model outlined in this paper demonstrates the potential application of simulation methods in assessing financial alternatives.
