Application du critère de Hill dans la modélisation par éléments finis des glissements de terrain de la région de Constantine (Algérie)
Some landslides types are not clearly explained within the framework of the traditianal methods of analysis and instability modelling. It is the case of landslides occuring on slopes that are not too steep and difficult to be modeled using traditional method. Therefore, new approches are necessary to take into account these particular failure modes. For this reason, we use the Hill's criterion which is based on the sign of the second order work. The Hill's criterion can efficiently allow a finer instability analysis in both local and global levels. This approach is incorporated in the finite element code (Plaxis). The importance of this approach is amphasized by its use in the modelling of real problems such as the landslide of Ciloc in Constantine city in Algeria. The slope stability analysis is allowed us to investigate potentially instable areas.
