An Expert Design Generator
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) differs from Computer-Aided Drafting in that it requires access to a substantial on-line data base comprising not only the physical attributes of the design, but also the non-physical design parameters normally referred to as the Design Program. The conceputal design of an Intelligent Computer-Aided Design System (ICADS) is described as consisting of three components: namely; an intelligent CAD data base, an expert design generator, and a multi-media presentation and production unit.
