Bernard Lassus was a former pupil in the Studio of Fernand Léger and at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts, where he was made a professor on 1 January 1968. He has taught at the Ecole d' Architecture de Paris-la-Vilette, where he was in charge of the doctorate programme, ‘Gardens, Landscapes, Territories’, jointly established with the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. Between 1976 and 1986 he founded and directed the Studio Charles Rivière Dufresny at the Ecole Supérieure du Paysage at Versailles. From 1995 to 2000 he was an adjunct Professor of Landsc1pe Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, and 2001-02 was visiting professor at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
