Importance of accessibility measures in trip production models
Most trip production models used in transport studies are expressed in terms of socio‐economic variables only. Yet it is an established fact that as the ease of travel between areas (accessibility) improves, so does the number of trips. This paper outlines some of the results obtained through incorporating accessibility measures into the traditional trip production model.
