One of the most topical current problems is the conservation of energy and this is reflected in the thinking with regard to thermal insulation of dwellings. Pt.F of the Building Regulations has been more demanding in standards for dwellings, and there is every possibility that in the future thermal standards will be introduced into regulations to embrace all buildings where heating is used. The Building (third amendment) Regulations 1975 are, however, the regulations updating the thermal insulation requirements of buildings regulations as they are operative today. This article continues from BTJ March 26, 1976 and is the last in this series.
