An air-setting mortar for lightweight refractories
Chamotte-bauxite mortar containing water glass is not quite suitable for laying lightweight bricks, because the latter absorb much water. After adding dextrin, the mortar was suitable for making thin joints (1.0-1.5 mm) between kyanite-sillimanite lightweight foam refractory bricks of 0.75-0.78 g/cm3 density.
