The automatization of the Swedish telephone network has entailed the building of a very large number of new telephone exchanges. The buildung have been standarized as far as possible. This applies particularly for the smaller exchanges in the rural districts, where both the buildings and the automatic exchange equipment are delivered from the factory in prefabricated parts.
