Pumping plant for water supply in Misono Filtration Plant of Waterworks Bureau, Tokyo Metropolitan Government
The Waterworks Bureau, Tokyo Metropolitan Government recently built the Misono Plant in the Joto area with a view to securing stable supply of water to meet the growing demand. Particularly, stoppage of water supply pumps due to instantaneous power failure can lead to trouble in the pipeline and force a considerably long suspension of water supply before normal supply can be resumed. To cope with such a situation, the water supply pumps at the Misono Filtration Plant is furnished with a thyristor Kraemer speed control system which not only enhances reliability of equipment but also provides stable service even at instantaneous power failure and ensures high efficiency and maintenability.
