Interactive structural design with computer graphical output
A study has been made of cost patterns of precast concrete portal framed buildings. Studies carried out into fabrication, haulage, foundations, cladding and erection have been used to develop a Cost Model Computer Program. Data describing the structure is input into this Cost Model and the resulting overall cost is used to generate cost contour maps for precast concrete portal framed buildings. The Cost Model program is interfaced with a computer graphical system which enables engineering drawings and bar bending schedules to be output interactively.
