Radio telemetry challenges wire in remote monitoring and control
Radio telemetry is finding increasing favour in a wide range of remote monitoring and control applications. The primary impetus for the resurgence of wireless telemetry in industrial monitoring and control is the escalating cost of leased telephone lines. The largest portion of industrial telemetry use is found in three major applications: electric power generation and distribution, oil and gas production/distribution, and water distribution/treatment.
