Electrostatic fire-smoke precipitation apparatus for fire-fighting vehicle
The main parts of this apparatus are a drum type high-voltage generator and flexible corona electrodes. This high-voltage generator is a radio-frequency Cockcroft-Walton type; its terminal voltage is 200 kV DC, and its operating frequency is 7 kHz inverted from a 72 V DC battery. When this apparatus is operated in a 60 m3 smoke-filled room, the range of visible field is 10 m after 2 minutes, and the smoke is almost gone after 5 minutes.
