Abstract only given, substantially as follows: A simple and quite sensitive microwave coaxial cavity probe for moisture content measurement in buildings and materials is descirbed. The open end of the cavity is in tight coupling with the surface or the interior of the material under investigation. Deviations of the cavity resonant frequency is a measure of the moisture content of the material.
