Thermal diffusivity in solids (concrete dam)
A technique is described, based on the finite element method, to determine the probable value of concrete bulk thermal diffusivity by measured temperatures at the inner thermometers of a dam. Some examples are illustrated to test the accuracy of the method. The possibility of applying this procedure to identify other physical parameters is also discussed.
