Fire experiences: principal lessons learned, application in PWR power plants
Reviews the principal design rules to be borne in mind for PWR nuclear unit installation. These rules take into account: the specific character of materials involved (safety aspects for nuclear construction), experience acquired as a result of fires in EDF production units, and the results obtained from tests carried out by the EDF at Fort de Chelles between 1980 and 1982, especially in the field of PVC cables.
