Large strain Finite Elements analysis of flexible footings on work-softening isotropic material
The paper proposes an Eulerian Rate formulation for solving problems involving both material and geometric non-linearity. The Finite Element method is used for spatial integration and test results compare excellently with analytical solutions. Results for both infinitesimal and finite deformation analyses of circular footings on perfectly-plastic and work-softening soils are also presented.
