To define the optimal structure of the walls of dwellings he climate conditions, the heating cost and the building cost are considered. The optimal thickness for one-layer wall and for two types of sandwich walls with thermal insulation between two layers of bricks are mathematically modeled, not including the openings in the walls and inflation factors. The lifetime and the interest-steps have to be evaluated very carefully to the whole period. Rational design can be made only in stabile economic conditions. (Jarc)
