The unification degree is mathematically modelled. Groups of parts are defined as ponderized values of the unification of parts in the boundaries of the group. To make this procedure possible, the object has first to be decomposited and then the parts have to be classified to define the cost effectiveness of the composed object. The unification degree is then mathematically modelled to decrease the diversification of design variants and components. By this procedure, the lot size of unificated prefabricated components is increased and thereby the costs for the object are decreased. (Jarc)
