A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Increasing demands for water-due to rises in population, improved standards of living, industrial development and greater needs for farm and agricultural purposesimpose continuously greater strains on existing supplies. Conservation of water in all its aspects is now an urgent necessity. Water conservation in its widest sense covers economy in the uses of water, the utilisation of existing sources to maximum effect, study of other possible sources of water and the means by which they can best be achieved. the ultimate aim of water conservation is to ensure that there will always be a sufficient quantity of water of the required quality in the right place at the right time.
