On certain plasticity solutions in soil mechanics
The ultimate bearing capacity of a general type of rigid foundation, supported by a weightless soil which exhibits both cohesion and internal friction, is found by integrating the koetter equations. Several particular cases, including both smooth and rough interface conditions and the case of an embedded rough foundation, are considered.
