Water pollution monitoring stations: An ounce of prevention
Once the need for a water quality data collection system for continuous monitoring has been established, many questions of local conditions,system types, and methods of installation must be answered properly to obtain maximum station reliability at the outset. This paper discusses some of the necessary considerations and correlations to accomplish this task. Water conditions, sampling methods, system selection, system plumbing, method of installation, periodic service, and winterizing are covered briefly.
