Dynamic analysis of lattice towers
A review of techniques for the dynamics analysis of self-supporting and guyed lattice towers is presented. Both linear and nonlinear response is considered. For linear analysis, mode superposition using eigenvalue decomposition or load dependent Ritz vector approaches is considered along with response spectrum and time history analyses. In the nonlinear case, nonlinear stiffness models are presented for truss members, guy cables, frame members, and flexible connections. Dynamic analysis for the nonlinear response of lattice towers is restricted to time history analysis.
