Analiza fraktalna pekania betonow
A Mode I test (tension at bending) of fractures was carried out on concrete test specimens with dimensions according to the RILEM Draft Recommendations. A diagram of the loading force as a function of crack mouth opening displacement was recorded for each specimen. Three fractures selected randomly from each series of concretes made of natural-state and paraffinated gravel aggegates as well as natural-state and paraffinated gravel aggregates containing 10 % silica fume were subjected to fracture morphology tests. The gypsum replicas were mechanically cut vertically to the mapped fracture surface. Images of the replica layers were analyzed by computer as bitmaps and printed after magnification. The relationships of fractal dimensions and profile line development indices were established as a function of stress intensity factors. On the photographs (scanning microscopy) of the microstructures of natural-state gravel concrete, an occurrence of microcracks within the cement paste and at the aggregate-cement paste interfaces were observed. The fractures of the specimens occurred with the avoidance of coarse gravel grains. In the concrete with the silica-fume addition, the microcracks were propagated through the gravel aggregate grains. Both fractal dimension and profile line development index decreased with increasing stress intensity factor.
