Jobsite experiences with resin injection
The article describes the jobsite experience in the field of injection resins on the underground segment in Italy, where this technique is used mainly with the goal of stop the water and to consolidate soil and/or rock. Some the most significant works are done in this field as follows: (1) Consolidation and Waterproofing of Tunnel Montefortin, (2) Use of combined technique of cement and resin grouting to rebuild tunnel lining (sulphate water attack) and assure waterproofing in an important methane pipeline, (3) Sandy soil consolidation, (4) Permeation of very fine sand with resins and manchette pipes to assure low to medium consolidation in lose granular terrain with safe posterior excavation, (5) Structural repair of Earthquake Damages and (6) Reconstruction of civil structures with elastic/plastic materials after earthquake damages.
