Elastic modulus of cementitious materials produced by extrusion moulding
Elastic modulus of cementitious materials produced by extrusion moulding is dealt with in this paper. The modulus was experimented in the three series of which parameters were the kinds of fibers and aggregate of cementitious mixtures with the wide range of mix proportions. The relationships of elastic modulus to the effective cement water ratio and specific gravity are experimentally clarified. In order to develop a method for predicting Young's modulus of particle-reinforced composites, Young' modulus of the matrices can be calculated on the basis of Hashin-Hansen Equation, which is applicable to the case of a cementitious composites by cast moulding. Furthermore, T.C.Powers' 'Cube Law' is clarified to be fundamentally effective for predicting Young's modulus of the matrices in the cementitious composites produced by extrusion moulding.
