CCP recycling: making the most of a valuable resource
The marketing of coal combustion products (CCPs) has doubled in the past ten years. Today, about one-third of the fly ash, bottom ash, boiler slag, and scrubber sludge produced by power plants is recycled for various uses. It is indicative that CCP recycling could increase, perhaps to the level of aluminum recycling, which stands out at two-thirds of the amount produced.
