Ejection-swirl cooling tower
A new cooling tower type Vajgac-2 for process water recovery (capacity 1000 m3/h to 1500 m3/h) was constructed. The tower is based on the air cooling (air blower capacity up to 800000 m3/h) of a decompressed water (network pressure 150 kPa to 200 kPa). One-stage cooling resulted in a decrease in water temperature by 10 deg C to 12 deg C up to 36 deg C to 38 deg C at the relative air humidity 65 %. The tower allowed an increase in heat exchange efficiency (by 30 %) and a considerable reduction of operational costs (by 50 %).
