Retour d'experience sur l'application d'aide a l'exploitation des reseaux ACROPOLE.
In the last decade, Gaz de France widened the operation territories of its gas distribution networks. That evolution is mainly linked to the improvement of the network reliability due to the use of polyethylene. Moreover, the role of the operators was reinforced so as to improve safety during the gas networks interventions. In order to keep on improving the quality of the gas system, a software for assisted operations was developed: ACROPOLE. The application offers a complete representation of networks with functions helping the operators to manage the situation of incident as well as the preparation of interventions, by simulation before putting them into practice. After the description of the main functions of the application, the paper presents feed-back on the uses of ACROPLOE in the following Gaz de France distribution centers: Dijon, Celle de Baume, Normandie-Eure, Reims-Champagne, Ille & Vilaine, Vosges and Sud-Aquitaine. The experience showed that ACROPOLE is a help for the management because of the evaluation of the network and the standardisation of the operation. It helps instructing new operators and shortens their learning time for the operation. It is possible with the real-time data to find quickly a precise decision especially in the case of danger. With ACROPOLE the gas distribution network can exactly be shown, for example which valves are open and which are closed. When failures occurred it is quickly possible to close the flow and start the maintenance work. The software includes a simulation module where difffernt network conditiions can be simulated and calculated. Another module controls the pressure of the network so that interruptions are minimized.
