Fire-resistant fluids seek to expand application into turbine lubrication systems
Turbine-generators at fossil fuel and nuclear power plants are equipped with hydraulic and lubrication systems whose total volume in many cases exceeds 10,000 gallons. The fire potential associated with the use of conventional petroleum oils in these systems is high. One way to significantly reduce this is by switching to synthetic fire-resistant fluids.
