Very-high-performance concrete with ultrafine powders
The fluidity and compactness of binary and ternary cement pastes containing ultrafine mineral powders were quantitatively studied with the relative density index. The effects of contents of silica fume (SF), pulverized granulated blast furnace slag (PS) and pulverized fly ash (PFA) on the strength of very-high-performance concrete (VHPC) were studied experimentally. Two means of toughness improvement of VHPC by steel tubes and steel fibers were investigated.
