A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The paper provides topical information about the state-of-the-art and development trends of technical standardisation of design and fabrication of steel structures in the Slovak Republic in the international especially European context. Extra-ordinary attention is devoted to the new Slovak standard for design of steel structures STN 73 1401:1998 as well as the prepared European standard for design of steel structures ENV or EN 1993 and the European standard for fabrication of steel structures ENV 1090 or EN 1090. The paper simultaneously informs about instant transformation of single parts of ENV 1993 and ENV 1090 standards into STN system.
