Resources circulation-oriented ecomaterials design of continuous fiber reinforced concrete (FRPRC)
Environment-conscious materials design (ecomaterials design) of building structural composites of various fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) was proposed and discussed. The design was based upon conceptual design and experimental date of structural behaviors and recyclability. It was found that the newly developed lightweight, high strength and high elastic, highly corrosion-resistant, and also thermally-recyclable non-metallic FRP reinforcements made of thermoplastic resins (FRTP), combined with lightweight, high strength concrete, improved material efficiency very much.
