The installation and design of elevators at Yokohama International Passenger Terminal was discussed. The panels, doors, fence landings and landing doors of the elevators were made from tempered glass. All the mechanisms and related equipment were installed under the car platform and the first and second floor landings. It was stated that the earthquake code requirements were also incorporated in the design of the elevators.
