A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Window and door frame fitters require the best that research can offer in terms of coating durability. With this in mind, the Italian business unit at Pianoro has started a research project. The results of this research were incorporated in the Sayerlack Hydroplus range of new waterborne coating products for exteriors: Hydro Gold series primers, intermediate basecoats (undercoats) and topcoats. The new Sayerlack AZ 9030/86 Hydro Gold coating contains an appropriate dose of fungicide to prevent fungal and mildew attacks on the coating film. The new product has a wide range of effective applications: AZ 9030/86 is thixotropic and can be applied on both level and vertical surfaces, therefore making it suitable for industrial cycles. Other special properties of this coating are its quick drying, the absence of blocking and removal phenomena, as well as excellent adhesion on old films. In addition, it protects the surface against ultraviolet radiations. Besides maintaining its elasticity over time without becoming weak, it is not impaired by UV radiations, and it protects the substrate thanks to use of appropriate UV absorbers and radical catchers.
