Corrosive resistance of sulphated cements
Now days there are many publications on the resistance of the different cements under corrosive medium. It is known Ca(OH)2 and the other hydrates are exposed to corrosion that leads to their decomposition, to the decrease the strength and durability of cement paste. The important of this problem is very high therefore this subject was discussed on many Congress and conference. The most studies were carried out on sulphate corrosive. It was discussed the delay formation of ettringite. It was shown ettringite in sulphoalumina and sulphoferrite cements is resistant to corrosion in the long time. Although there are many investigations, the problem of joint sulfate-chloride corrosion are not clear up to this days.
