Wplyw modyfikacji elastomerem SBS na wlasciwosci reologiczne lepiszczy asfaltowych
Basic functional properties of styrene/butadiene/styrene elastomer (SBS)-modified asphalt binders were reviewed. In particular, the course of bitumen ageing was discussed. The series of bitumen systems differing in the content (3 wt. % to 7 wt. %) and the type of modifier (branched or linear block modifier) were prepared. The modified binders and, for comparison, non-modified bitumen were subjected to technological and operational ageing. Change of the viscoelastic propertie of the SBS-modified binders were followed. Rheological properties of the binders under shearing conditions were studied. In particular, complex modulus and phase angle tangent were determined. The binder modified with 7 wt. % of SBS showed the best ageing resistance.
