Inelastic compressive buckling behaviors of steel-plate concrete column
The primary objective of the paper is to observe the buckling pattern and find the squash load of the steel plate-concrete structures. The five of the steel plate concrete structures were tested and the results compared with the finite element analysis results. The major variation was the three types of B/t ratio and yield strengths against both the surface steel plate and concrete. Based on the test results, the effects of B/t ratio in compressive strength were discussed. The effective length coefficients between the headed stud bolts were measured at the time of the buckling load of the steel plate using the elastic column behaviors. The paper proved the general failure behavior of the steel plate-concrete structures.
