Development of new ultra-high-early-strength superplasticizer and its application
The effects of new SSP (ultra high early strength superplaticizer) on water reduction, setting, temperature dependence of compressive strength, and hydration were investigated systematically. The results of mortar or concrete tests clearly indicate that SSP has the capacity to considerably accelerate the development of early age mechanical strength in conditions of low curing temperature, in comparison to the ordinary superplasticizers. Thus, this kind of superplasticizer is very suitable for precast concrete industry due to its higher early strength and shorter setting times. Engineering experimental results proved that the SSP can meet the requirements to concrete admixtures of high-speed railway construction project.
